Health Updates

Dear Parents,

We wish all the parents and children of our school, a very Healthy and Happy New Academic year.

It has been our pleasure and a constant endeavor, to take care of our children here in school, through our Infirmary (The School Hospital ).We have been providing our services  based on the medical information given by the children to us or their parents through the Almanac.  We keep records of special health issues of children in the Infirmary, year after year, as the child goes on to the next classes.

  •  Campus inspection is done regularly to see that there is no stagnant water or debris left anywhere, in and around the campus.
  •  Drains around the campus have been covered.
  •  Garbage disposal also has been taken care, to have no breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

NUTRITION : –health and well-being are not things merely to be regained when lost, but rather gifts to be maintained with all our power, on a regular and consistent basis. The best way to remember what we may eat for better health is to remember the nutrients,in general, with the colour of the food we eat.

June 2015 Newsletter

From the Principal’s Desk

Only as high as I reach, can I grow

Only as far as I seek, can I go

Only as deep as I look, can I see

Only as much as I dream, can I be…

Childhood is a special time of learning, exploration and growth.  Children need to be provided time to explore their world and experience the joy of discovery. At DPS Bangalore South, it is our endeavour to provide time for our children to be children.  As children grow and learn, they find joy and satisfaction in working closely with their families toward a common goal.  We strive to provide world class education that shapes the child with a disposition that will make him or her step out into the world with confidence. We sincerely believe that this is possible only through a close bond between home and school.  The close partnership between home and school is one of the exceptional strengths at Delhi Public School, Bangalore South.

The school respectfully nurtures and engages each student in realistic, meaningful, and concerted learning.   Through emphasis on the development and education of all children as individuals, we guide them in how to understand the world from their own perspective and develop the desire to keep on learning throughout their lives.

Over the years our students have repeatedly demonstrated that they are a class apart in all that they do! We have consistently produced excellent results in the All India Senior Secondary School Examination over the years. The students have once again brought laurels to the institution and done their teachers and parents proud. Months of rigorous planning and methodical study bore fruition when the results were declared on 25th May, 2015. Out of the 145 students who appeared in the exam 142 achieved a distinction and 79 scored above 90%.Ujjwal Pasupulety, the topper of the science stream scored 96.8%. Kunal Singhania, of the commerce stream topped with 96.8%. Sanaa Alvira, the topper from the humanities stream scored 96.4%, attaining a centum in History.

The excellent grades and CGPA scores reflected in the Class X Examination are a testimony to the focused, determined endeavour of our students to constantly better themselves. Of the 370 students who appeared in the examination this year, 96 students secured the perfect CGPA of 10 while 216 students secured a CGPA between 9 and 10.

We wish them all the very best in their future endeavours!!!

The school firmly believes that instilling discipline in the students is vital for the development of the child. Without discipline, children lack the tools necessary to navigate relationships and challenges in life such as self-discipline, respect for others, and the ability to cooperate with peers. The goal of effective discipline is to foster acceptable and suitable behaviour in the child and to raise emotionally mature adults. Keeping that in mind the school has formulated a set of rules that are detailed in the almanac and need to be strictly adhered to by the students.

We aim to make learning a gratifying experience wherein the body, mind and spirit is nurtured with great care and love. We therefore seek the support of the parents in our endeavours to bring out the best in each child. I believe that together we can make a difference in developing their innermost qualities of creativity, magnanimity, self-confidence and tolerance so that they become integrated citizens of the world.

So let me wish you all the very best of luck as you embark on a new journey this academic year.
