Shraddha Sudhir, 14- yr- old student of DPS South  makes a strong statement with her neat and swift strokes. She appears unfazed in her zeal and determination to win despite the growing competition. A trainee of Nettakallappa Aquatic Centre,Bangalore,she bagged a gold medal in the 200m breaststroke at the 40th junior National Aquatics Championship held at Hyderabad in the second week of July,2013. She dished out a steely show at the very last minute to win a nail biter in the breaststroke event.

Mukul  Mahindra, a student of  DPS South, plays basketball with a passion that is hard to define. His life revolves around basketball. This 16-year-old first tried his hand at the sport when he was eight and has not looked back once. He religiously practices to hone his skills and also stays back after school to squeeze in a few more hours. Now he has  a series of accolades to his credit-playing as a shooting forward for the Karnataka State basketball team,which ranked seventh at the national youth finals this year and participating in the U-16 State championships are perhaps the highlights. “Getting selected for the Karnataka State basketball team this year was the most special thing to happen to me,” he says.

Sanjeev R of Std. VIII 'G' broke records and left everyone spell bound by finishing the Group II boys' 800m freestyle event in 8 minutes and 51 seconds at the Junior National Aquatics Championship held at the Gachibowli Swimming pool in Hyderabad on Thursday. He secured two gold medals in the tournament. He proved his mettle by holding the lead at every turnover in the 16 lap race.
